Dramatic dodgeball tournament thrills everyone

The latest dodgeball tournament of the 2023-24 school year took place through Sept. 11-15. With exciting competitions with 11 teams, and returning groups such as the Monos and the Headtappers reappearing, there were thrilling games ahead.

In the second semi-finals, the Monos and SS fought for a spot in the finals and the SS came out victorious. On Friday, team SS and the Dodgefathers went head to head. Dodgefather’s Katella Lazaro fought her way through as the last person standing in the last round of finals, attempting to free the rest of her teammates.

Team SS were crowned winners as Maddie Lew, Ava Hinrichsen, Tomas Gethin, Layla Soubra, Lukas Winn, and Braden Lew claimed the coveted prize of the Golden Plunger. The Dodgefathers were runner-ups including Aiden Anguiano, Juan Orozco-Sanchez, Annabelle Everson, Katella Lazaro, Katrina Longoria, Alex Alejandre.
