The CVHS boys varsity soccer team lost a tough game against the Berkeley High School Yellow Jackets on Jan. 30, with a final score of 2-1.

Though the first half of the game ended 2-1, the loyal Trojans fought until the end and went all out in the second half. The members of the crowd were true to their Trojan soccer players the entire way through and never stopped cheering.

Finishing the first half tired, the Trojans marched on trying to get another goal.

“There was no communication the first ten minutes of the game, we got better for the rest of the first half. After that in the second half we collaborated more. We all put our hearts on the line the entire game,” stated junior Jack Prettyman.

Towards the end of the game in the second half, players from both sides were putting every last bit of energy to get another goal. The ball flew into the air countless times and just when the Trojans were about to score, the whistle blew and the game was over.

“We did decent, we just need to keep working hard and pushing forward, after all we are a family,” said senior Josh Guzman.
