Students! Support Food Drive today!

As the Thanksgiving season starts up so does the annual canned food drive competition at CVHS. Like usual, the Leadership class goes to every fourth period and collects non-perishable items and goods for families in need during the Thanksgiving season.

From Oct 30 to Nov 17, Leadership will track which fourth period classes donate the most cans. Every class that brings at least 100 cans will receive a sweet prize and the class that brings the most will receive a pizza party.

The competition brings together students and funnels their competitive nature to help communities that are less fortunate

“I think the canned food drive is an amazing community driven project but also a school driven project where our whole entire school can come together and help those in need and give those that aren’t as fortunate,” ASB Vice President Ian Hsu said.

The Leadership class aims for each student to bring a small amount to contribute to the goal they have set for the school.

“I think a goal is for everyone to bring two cans so that we can achieve our goal of 5,000 cans,” Hsu said.
