Students showcase creative visions in virtual AP Art Show

The CVHS 2025 AP Art Show, which is currently accessible online, gives a beautiful and distinctive artwork reflecting a wide range of subjects, emotions, and creative visions may be found in. Each of which tells a unique story with the use of color, symbolism, and captivating visuals, you are invited to explore a wide range of viewpoints across the gallery.

You Have To See What I See Right Now, which features a joyful person wearing a hot dog costume and smiling with joy, is one piece that instantly draws attention to Ash Ahmad’s artwork. Behind him, someone is playing a piano and grinning subtly in grayscale. Ahmad’s use of color to draw attention to particular circumstances practically gives us the impression that we are looking at two universes at once.

Then there is Ideation by Theresa Cruz, which blends the spooky and the internet. With computer boxes behind her and a figure with flowing white hair clutching something shiny, she says, “Are you sure you want to continue?” It’s creative and a touch unnerving, making you think about choices, emotions, and how technology may affect our feelings and thinking.

The small elements in Anna Dughi’s SI8—a woman’s face partially obscured by a piece of glass, a palm pressed against it, and eyes that seem to see through you—make it stand out. It gives off the impression that something is being held back. The paint splatters on the surface give the expression more dimension.

Lastly, Mikala Wong’s Holding On places a strong emphasis on healing and peace. The figure’s hands glow warmly with white streaks as they close their eyes. The radiance is magnified by the black background, giving the impression that they are simultaneously grasping something delicate and strong.

There are many different artistic styles and rich themes in this year’s event. Every composition invites us to try something new by examining topics like happiness, introspection, mystery, and connection.
