Freshman boys win team title at Ram Invitational

The CVHS cross country freshman boys team took first place at Ram Invitational on Sept. 27 with 83 points, with rising star Dylann Reyes catapulting the Trojans in seventh place, running the 2.7 mile race in 16 minutes and 50 seconds.

Following not far behind, Fredrick Tumlinson took 13th place at 17:02, and Connor Liang followed in 18th place at 17:17.

Most notably, every single CVHS cross country freshmen boy achieved a personal record for this distance! A powerful beginning of the season, and a marked improvement.

The freshmen celebrated their first victory over the generously donated snacks from the parents, marking the start of picking up the mantle from the Trojans’ graduates and seniors.

When asked about his race, Connor gave us a word of wisdom;

“Every ounce of effort I put into practice and meets goes towards my goal in becoming stronger. I don’t care about placement, I just care about my time,” said Liang.
