Trojan tennis team wins once again at San Leandro

The CVHS boys tennis team continued to maintain its winning streak by beating San Leandro High School on March 21, 2019.

Edward Wang started off playing Ben Duong, defeating him by 6-0 and 6-0 to secure the first win for Castro Valley High School. Next, Spenser LIn-Jones beat Wesley Tat by 6-0 and 6-2.

After LIn-Jones was Rohit Sinha, who beat Kaho Moon by 6-2 and 6-2. Last but not least for singles, Leon Chen beat Irwin Lang by 6-0 and 6-1, securing all singles wins for Castro Valley.

The doubles team faced a bit more competition but came out ahead, with Colby Fong and Ryan Huey from Castro Valley beating Josh Rodriguez by 7-5, 3-6 and 6-2. Next Garvey Li and Keegan Shirley beat Jeremiah Rodriguez and Timothy Tran 6-3 and 7-6. Castro Valley took the last doubles game when Michael Lee and Brandon Wong defeated Jonathan Chen / Derek Wang 6-0 and 6-3.

CVHS successfully continued its overall lead because of the fantastic effort put forth by its singles and doubles players. The team is currently undefeated and we look forward to seeing a continued winning streak over the next few weeks.
