Vibrant Visuals: “Max Mayfield”

To kick off the school year, The Olympian shares this visual art piece by senior Rachel Raskin. “‘Max Mayfield’ is a gouache painting of a scene I repainted from the show ‘Stranger Things,'” she said. “As I am a fan of the show, I wanted to draw or paint something from it with my own take on it and decided on this main scene where Vecna (as seen in the painting as a creepy hand) takes Max. I added in some small details such as the grandfather clock in the background and groups of 4 paint strokes scattered around the painting to represent the 4 strikes of the clock heard when Vecna is present.”
