Band concert was the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The sounds of the holidays were high and mighty on the night of the Castro Valley High School concert, jazz, and symphonic bands performance.

        The night kicked off with the jazz band performing five pieces, with outstanding solos from students Andre Juntilla, Gavin Halloran, Sam Troxell, and many others.

        The concert band followed the jazz band with an outstanding performance of three pieces American River Song, Green Willow Portrait, and Dedicatory Overture.

        The symphonic band finished the concert with four different tunes, and ended the performance with a combined medley of The Nutcracker along with the students from the concert band.

        Band teacher Steven Hendee was very happy with the way all of the students performed, and is looking forward to the next few performances planned for the future.
