Ava Thomas leads the varsity softball team

Ava Thomas has taken a swing on the softball field every year of high school which goes to say something about the belief her coaches have in her to execute at an accelerated pace. Thomas has put up some impressive stats such as a 100 percent fielding rate over 15 games played in the 2023 season as well as a current .400 batting average. Her best game this season was a 17 to 6 blowout mercy rule game in which she went two for three with one RBI and two runs. “I had a fun time playing in the game and helping to lead my team to a win,” said Thomas. Though she may not make the LSU roster, CVHS softball will miss her presence on the plate and in the field next year.
