Girls golf NCS Championship marks “end to an era”

The CVHS girls golf team placed seventh out of the 20 teams that competed at the NCS Championship at the Las Positas golf course in Livermore.

While the Trojans did not qualify to move on to the next game, they certainly put on a good show.

The team has a league record of eight wins and no losses. This is the fourth year the girls golf team has gone undefeated in league golf competition.
All six girls on the team, Betty Chen, Melissa Hosman, Kendra Morris, Lauren Quan, Danielle Diaz, and Emily Lassalle were placed as league golfers.
The girls were all seniors, and coach Ed Blom is sad to see them go.
“We’re sorry to see them graduate and move on,” he commented. “It’s kind of an end to an era.”

Blom continued to say he looks forward to the coming years in girls golf, and hopes to find incoming freshmen next year to carry on the great tradition at CVHS. He is thrilled with the work the team has done, saying, “I’m very proud of each and every one of the six girls who played this year.”
