Olympian wins two national awards

CVHS journalism students won two national awards through the prestigious Quill and Scroll competition.

For a 2011 package about teen pregnancy, Olympian staff members Bianca Arias, Kate Kim, Holden Parks, Max Kahane and Dana Lin won the in-depth reporting category.

Lin won another award for her 2012 editorial cartoon about Gov. Jerry Brown’s tax plan.

“It’s always nice when others notice and appreciate our staff’s hard work and talent,” said Olympian advisor Matt Johanson.
