“Wintergrams” will increase cheer this holiday season
Wintergrams will be made available this year for those who want to send a little festive cheer to their friends or significant others. These will be delivered the last week of school before winter break and will be sold for $5.
“A wintergram consists of a stuffed animal of your choosing as well as a small personalized card and possible other decorations,” said Leadership student Samuel Ison, one of the two people in charge of this feature.
The wintergram is designed to be a nice way to show your appreciation to the receiver. The personalized card would only be read by the one receiving the wintergram. Wintergrams are not only for couples, but can be sent from friend to friend as well.
The stuffed animal choices are the wolf, penguin, teddy bear, and possibly some snow people wearing winter attire.
Wintergrams will be delivered by cheerful Leadership students dressed in winter clothing to add to the feeling of the season.
The money earned from the sales will be sent as a donation to the local PTA outreach. This outreach is also in charge of the food drive and the Adopt-A-Family programs.
The purchase of a wintergram is a great opportunity to give a little back to the community and to have a little festive cheer before leaving for winter break. They may be purchased in the courtyard at lunch or the student store in Room 607.
