Fashionable Trojans show off with style
Envision a gorgeous, red, “jersey-like” halter top that flawlessly reps the 49ers. The top displayed the classic Nike logo and had a tie-up to compliment the other designs. This and many other designs were displayed at the CVHS fashion show.
CVHS had its annual fashion show on April 16 in the cafeteria. This fashion show’s main purpose was to display the hard work students at CVHS put into designing clothing. Many students worked on designs for weeks, accommodating the clothing to fit their models in the best way possible.
“My favorite part of modeling was getting to try on unique styles and designs of clothes people can create. I also got to experience self-confidence and communication with other people, who are modeling too,” commented model Sharlene Goduco.
Along with dressing the models, DECA leaders Ava Alburo and Qaisarah Kamal Fariz worked to get a band to perform on stage and set up the walkway for the models in the cafeteria. Many proud parents and peers gathered to see the hard work put into the show by the students.
In addition to having designers and organizers, models also put tremendous time and effort into the fashion show.
“The hardest part about making clothing is trying to fit clothes that aren’t for my body and accommodating to help them feel good in the clothes that I made for them,” said Cassidy Berg, the creator of a dress that was on the runway.
A lot of the outfits consisted of different styles and materials. Styles such as dresses, t-shirts, suits, and pants made an appearance on the runway with each design holding its own personal touch.
“My three designs had different aesthetics, but I love working with new materials and trying new things out,” remarked designer Loriannah Shah.
Yo Camden got a nice fit for the fashion show! Had no idea this was going on.
