CVHS baseball team beats O’Dowd, 6-1

Well on its way to a beautiful winning streak for this season, the CVHS varsity boys baseball team took home yet another win against Bishop O’Dowd on April 18. CVHS made a major rally with four runs in the sixth inning, a fast-growing trend of the team. After a grueling game, the score numbered 6-1, boosting the Trojans’ overall win-loss streak to 12-4 and 4-1 in the HAAL.

Pitching six and two-thirds innings, junior Jason Seever allowed only six hits and struck out an impressive number of five Dragons. Seever has been noted for his successful pitching career thus far out on the mound, and only further proved the point at the O’Dowd game. When asked about how he’s garnished such a reputation, he attributed it to his off-speed pitches and curveballs.

Senior Desi Bradford also stood out as an on-point player by cracking two hits in two trips to the plate. Bradford has smashed three home runs this season.

“Our defense is doing well this year,” commented Seever.

Will the Trojans win the league?

“I feel confident,” said Seever.
