Trojans sweated out triple-digit temperatures today. Record-breaking heat forced CVHS to cancel athletic practices and a JV football game, as well as postpone today’s welcome back assembly until Sept. 15.
In response to the excessive heat, afternoon classes in rooms with no air conditioning moved into air conditioned rooms that were available.
The school also took other measures against the heat by providing hydration stations in the quad, putting misters on the 700 hall overhang, and supplying classes with bottled water.
Students and staff should be sure to stay hydrated and watch out for each other to prevent any heat related accidents from happening.
