From the beloved book series, The Hunger Games, a girl named Katniss, her best friend Gale, her love Peeta, and her family face even more challenges in a society where killing is always the answer, and the odds are never in anyone’s favor, in the newest movie, Mockingjay: Part 1. The series starts with The Hunger Games, then moves on to Catching Fire, and finally ends with Mockingjay, but the movie-makers decided to make the last book into a two-part movie.

I had the chance to see Mockingjay: Part 1 the day before the grand opening of the movie on Friday, Nov. 21. It was an amazing movie, although the way it is split up into two movies is very frustrating for many viewers. Even though many people know what is going to happen, the ending still leaves you at a cliffhanger.

I would definitely give this movie a good four stars, and would really recommend it. It is very well directed and will move your emotions all over the place. If you have a hunger for The Hunger Games, then Mockingjay: Part 1 will leave you starving.
