Despicable Me 2 isn’t despicable at all

Despicable-Me-2-Poster-HD-Minion-Wallpaper_Vvallpaper.Net_Before watching “Despicable Me 2” in theaters, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I enjoyed the first movie a lot, mainly due to the fact the Agnes is too adorable to make anyone dislike the movie.

The trailer for the “Despicable Me 2” did not give the plot away. However, once the movie began, I realized fairly quickly how the plot was going to play out and end.

“Despicable Me 2” continues the story about the lives of Gru and his three daughters. After retiring from being a villain from the first movie, Gru and his minions become bored of the new jelly industry that they have created. Therefore, Gru becomes a spy to track down a new villain, who produced a formula that turns Gru’s minions into indestructible and evil monsters.

Gru meets his new partner and crime, Lucy. Both characters become a love interest for one another, sharing an impeccable chemistry that is funny and absolutely charming to watch. The producers of the movie certainly did a good job making the relationship between Gru and Lucy “very cheesy.”

With a new love interest and a villain to track down, Gru also becomes a concerned father when he finds out that his oldest daughter, Margo, is beginning to date boys.

Overall, “Despicable Me 2” is a fun-filled, PG movie to watch. It is a great film to watch with family, younger siblings, and even a significant other. From watching this movie in theaters, I heard several laughters and giggles dispersed evenly throughout the film. The movie is adorable, funny, and it definitely got me “awe-ing” at the end when Agnes made her speech.

Although “Despicable Me 2” is not in theaters anymore, the film’s DVD release date has been set to be on Dec. 10. For those who adore “cheesiness” or absolutely enjoys Dreamworks films and the first movie, I would definitely recommend to watch this film.
